Installation
Extract the zipfile using WinZip, WinRAR or any zip-compatible extraction program, and ensure your choice of extractor preserves the folder structure embedded in the file. In the case of WinZip, this is achieved by placing a check-mark in the 'use folder names' checkbox. However, your choice of compressor may have different settings.
-
Once the zipfile is extracted, please verify that you see a 'program' and 'data' folder.
-
In addition, as a temporary measure you need to create a ‘Media’ folder directly off of your C: drive (path C:\Media), into which you can place any images, video or audio clips, including higher level folders such as Video, Music, Photos, that you wish the database to 'see'.
-
To launch the application double-click the ‘buzz3d.exe’ in the ‘program’ folder. You will see that it launches in a window, in order that you can easily attend to any Firewall pop-ups, after which it will resize to full-screen mode.
Another Firewall issue can arise when attempting to play videos for the first time. Here, the program will again minimise to a window. Once you have attended to the Firewall pop-up simply click the Windowed/Full Screen mode button (to the right of the GO BEYOND Reality logo).
-
Once launched do a 360° on the spot rotation using the left or right hand cursor keys. You will notice the program appears to stutter when each vehicle first appears on screen, this is due to a) loading textures onto the hardware, and b) loading geometry onto the hardware. Currently, neither occurs until the hardware sees the data, ie. it's physically being rendered in the view port. It will be overcome at a latter stage by loading both into hardware cache during the start-up process.

For this build then go to one of the screens and select the ‘settings’ button from the ‘Main Menu’ and then select the ‘Media’ button. From here, click "Start Scanning", in order to scan the contents of the C:\Media folder. Once the counter reaches 100% and reports finished, use the 'Back' button to go back to the 'Settings' page, and then 'Main Menu' to return to the top-level menu.
For this build you can either use the main menu to display multi-media, or a video of Photo folder is selected click the ‘Simple’ button where the main UI is no longer visible and –
-
Video, a single file can be attributed to a screen with a left mouse click starting and pausing play, and a right mouse click resetting to a cover image.
-
Photos, a folder can be attributed to a screen, encompassing a single or a number of files, where a left mouse click would 'go forward' and display the images in alpha-numeric order, and a right mouse click would reverse the process.
