Compatible 2D/3D Interfaces

Any converged platform will significantly increase the available source material that can be displayed, which is likely to present a problem for all who are uncomfortable with a hierarchical menu structure.

To address this problem our ‘World’s 1st‘ 3D Virtual Reality shortcut Interface enables 39 display surfaces to grant immediate access to any media, including Live and Recorded TV, DVDs, Home Videos, Music, Photos, Internet Radio, Home Monitoring and Video Chat; all from within our 3D real-world metaphor.  Having some aspects of PC content on a Television is not revolutionary, but the opportunity to access and play multiple simultaneous iterations of any media type all from ONE SCREEN, is a major breakthrough.

No mouse-skills are necessary to navigate around the 3D environment – all may be operated from the comfort-zone of a standard infra-red remote control available with the majority of Digital TV solutions: Up / Down / Left / Right and Select are the only 5 buttons a user really needs to know about.  Alternatively, free movement by a mouse or keyboard is another option where the user can go where they want and interact with whatever they please.

Whatever the user selects to be displayed on screens in the 3D space will be remembered the next time a user enters the 3D mode, providing a very quick method of reviewing all favourite data sources at a glance.

For those that prefer 2D then 3D can be ignored; however, transitions between the two interfaces is a simple, graceful, one-click operation, as is the transition into full screen mode from either interface.

Both the 2D and 3D interfaces are fully compatible, providing the flexibility to switch between both at will.
